New WHAC Board in Place

Kenny Boyle, Steve Carr and Kathryne Gardette, newly elected Board members joined re-elected and continuing Board members: Kathy Atkinson, Roy Green, Barbara Furr, Roy Green, Toni Miller, Toilynn O’Neal, Fred Orth and Clarence Taylor recently for a morning of reflection and preparation for the coming year.

Each Board member will be serving in a leadership role on the Executive Committee or on one of the  standing committees as outlined in the Council’s recently revised by-laws.  Those positions are filled as follows:

President: Kathy Atkinson
VicePresident: Clarence Taylor
Secretary: Toni Miller
Treasurer: Roy Green
Assistant Treasurer: Steve Shipp (appointed by WHAC Business Group)
Citizens on Patrol: Roy Green
Douglass School LSDMC: Kathryne Gardette
Environmental & Beautification: Clarence Taylor
Business Group: Tim MacConnell (elected by Business Group)
Membership & Nominating: Barb Furr
NSP/NBD: Kenny Boyle with Kathy Atkinson
Planning and Economic Development: Fred Orth (appointed by Business Group)
Walnut Hills Day: Toilynn O’Neal
Website Development: Steve Carr

With Cincinnati 45206: Template for Tomorrow in hand, the group began to revisit the assets of the community and began to identify strategies that will allow the community to accomplish the goals set forth in Vision 2010.

The meeting calendar for 2010 was set with General Body meetings continuing to be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Douglass School, 2627 Park Avenue.  Board meetings will be held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, 2950 Gilbert Avenue.

Committee meetings will be set in the near future by Committee chairs in conjunction with resident committee members.  As soon as these dates are available they will be posted on the website.
